ABOUT MAGNETS

Although demonized as a total scam in many medical circles, the science is starting to stack up in favor of Magnets.  Below you’ll get a short synopsis of how, in theory, Magnets work to help your body heal, as well as links to a couple of respected studies in the area of Magnetic Therapy.

HOW DO MAGNETS WORK?

Magnetic Therapy operates on the premise that the human body is controlled by magnetic fields and charged ions, and that the body benefits from them being in balance.

When an area of the body is injured, positive ions flood the area, causing pain and swelling. Magnetic Therapy causes the positive ions to flee the affected area, allowing the body to return to its normal negative state. This in turn allows an increase in blood flow to the area, improving circulation, which speeds healing and reduces pain and inflammation.  In this way, magnets promote the natural functions of the body.

WHAT CAN MAGNETS HELP WITH?

Primarily Magnets are used to treat pain and physical injuries.  A good example would be the traditional lingering sports injury, the wrist or knee that just always hurts.

Other benefits reported by people who use Magnets are less pain and stiffness in the joints and muscles, reduced allergy symptoms, more restful sleep, fewer headaches, and an overall feeling of well-being.

For some the benefits can be felt within minutes. For others, it may be several weeks before they see any change.  The amount of time depends on the person, as well as the severity and location of the pain being treated.

WARNING:

While most people do not have a problem using magnetic jewelry, you should check with your doctor if you have any health concerns, including: if you have a pacemaker, are pregnant, have any metal in your body, or have other serious health conditions. Magnets should never be considered as a substitute for professional health care.

NECKLACES VS. BRACELETS

Magnetic necklaces are designed to relieve muscle and joint pain in the shoulders and upper back, as well as to relieve headaches & migraines. Can also help with knee pain.

Magnetic bracelets are intended to relieve muscle and joint pain in the fingers, hands, wrists, elbows, arms and shoulders. Bracelets can help with knee pain as well.
